It's Birthday Month Fundraiser Time! Please Help Support Local Cat Rescue by Making Your Regular Purchases Through this Link!

It's that time of year again! Each November for my birthday, I do a fundraiser for a local 501(c)(3) cat rescue, Malcolm's Magic Community Cat Alliance. If you're not familiar, Malcolm's Magic is based in Canonsburg, PA, and is dedicated to working with cats in the worst of situations - abuse, abandonment, overrun feral colonies - getting them the veterinary care needed, and finding forever homes for those that are adoptable.

This organization is run by one truly amazing angel of a woman, Amy Tadija, who I guarantee will be crowned Queen of the Rainbow Bridge when she finally arrives there many years from now. She relies on the help of many, many volunteers and foster parents to help with her mission.

This year, in the midst of a pandemic, Malcolm's Magic took on a feral colony at a trailer park in Washington County, PA, that was estimated to have 180 cats (but turned out to be over 260). Amy and her volunteers spent five months at the trailer park, trapping cats, transporting them to vet care, finding foster homes, and handling adoptions for these beautiful fur babies.

Because of their efforts, these cats are living their best life, rather than outside in filth, exposed to disease, predators, and the elements.

Can you imagine what it costs to have 260 cats vetted, including spay/neuter surgery, combo testing, dental procedures, blood panels, worming, flea treatments, and chipping? We are talking well over $100,000 here. Where does the money come from? Donations and adoption fees.

That amounts to 35% on beauty and jewelry products, and 25% on fashion and home goods. Last year, we raised over $430 for Malcolm's Magic, and this year I would love to hand Amy a check for $1,000!
