My Avon Story

Hi! I'm Pam, or Pamela, or Pammy - I'm not picky!

My relationship with Avon goes all the way back to my senior year in high school, 1973. That's when Sweet Honesty came out, and it was my signature fragrance! And to be "honest," I still wear it sometimes today because it brings back all those "sweet" memories! And I still love it.

Through the years, I've always used Avon products - the facial moisturizers, body creams, and especially the makeup. That's why, when I was in my 30s and my daughter was in Girl Scouts and I was an Assistant Leader, I signed up under my fellow Leader, Barb. I loved getting the discount on my products, and the extra income really helped me as a single mom.

That stint, however, only lasted a couple of years. When my daughter got a little older, I decided to go to college at night an get a business degree, so that swallowed up most of my time outside of my day job. I got that degree in five years of night school, and went on to obtain my MBA in 18 months. My daughter and I were in college at the same time, which was pretty cool.

Anyway, my education provided me the opportunity to leave behind 25 years of being a secretary to join the administration at a local state university, where I worked for 15+ years in management and directorship positions in human resources, graduate school, and academic affairs. I am thankful for all of that!

The state's very generous retirement criteria allowed me to retire at age 61 with full health benefits for life. A few months prior to my retirement, I was placing an online order with Avon and the light bulb went off in my head. Why not sign up with Avon again and have a little extra income? Plus, it will get me out of the house and be a way to meet new people.

Best decision ever.

I started as an Avon Representative in March 2017. In that first year, I made President's Club ($10,000 in sales), and I started building a team, reaching Bronze Ambassador level. In the second year, I made President's Club again while growing that team. In 2019, I reached Honor Society ($20,000 in sales), achieved Gold Ambassador, AND earned a free trip to Jamaica! Now, in 2020, three years into my journey, I am on track for Honor Society again, and my team has grown to over 100 Representatives from all over the country. In all, I have received $2,250 in leadership bonuses, in addition to my bi-weekly commission and residual income. Not to mention all of the wonderful friends I have made along the way - from my beautiful Million Dollar Team leader, Lori Yanuck, to all of the customers I consider family. I would have never met any of them without my Avon business!

Currently, I am working to reach Bronze Leader level and have set a goal of reaching that by year-end.
